I've posted a couple times, so I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Alyssa, I'm 25, I'm a stay at home mom to AJ (4.5) and Andrew (almost 2). My husband is in sales, and also in full time college working on his teaching degree. I also work very part time in the early mornings as a personal assistant to the owner of an organizing company. I like what I do, I like even more that I'm home by 9 AM, just before my husband leaves, so one of us is always with the kids.
I came here to research more about dog breeds. We want a family pet, but may have very specific needs if my youngest son turns up with allergies. We have an appt on the 20th of July with an allergist, so hopefully everything goes well.
Even if he's allergic, we still would like a dog. I would like a dog that will be mostly indoors, under 50 lbs or so. We camp and walk a lot, we go to the park daily, so we need a dog that can keep up, but also chill out in the house.
And out other baby, is a 2 year old cat named Jax. He is a fantastic cat. He's about 17 lbs, and a big lover. He's just really cool. He gets along with dogs, he actually goes out and plays fetch with the dogs across the cul de sac sometimes (they are a doxie and a scottie). We must make sure that whatever dog we get will get along with Jax. We dog-sit my parent's black lab when they go on vacation, and Jax likes to sleep right in the middle of her bed!
I think I'd like to stick around here, there's so much to learn about dog breeds, and this forum has a wealth of knowledge!
