Oh, you're in the right place! I think there are a couple of breeders, and there are several owners, and there are packs of Pit lovers. We love our Pit dogs here on Chazhound and are very aggressive about defending them against all those ignorant stereotypes.

So ~ from your name, do you now, or have you ever (lol) owned a Pit that competes in weight pulling events?

Check out the Picture Gallery. There are several Pit owners with albums. Right off the top of my head, Ti Ashmore, DivaDelilah, Onael, Pitbulliest, oh, I know I'm forgetting several, and I apologize to them, but plead staying up too late last night watching the Vols maul UNLV. A very unexpected outcome, I might add, since UNLV has an outstanding coach and an extremely talented, experienced team, and we have two freshman quarterbacks. Couldn't have done it without those experienced running backs and secondary, though.

How's his elbow? I guess it takes a lot of rehab on an injury like that.

The German Shepherd/Akita mix I had for many years would have excelled at weight pulling. The only thing he was ever afraid of was thunder. One day, while we were at my Mom's, one of those sudden southern summer storms blew up. Bear's cable (he broke everything else) was looped around the trailer hitch on her car. I didn't want to let him in the back yard, as I'd just washed him and we were on our way to one of his visits at a runaway shelter, and he was still damp and my Mom had just shampooed the carpet. When the first crack of thunder hit, I ran outside to get him . . . not fast enough! He'd yanked the trailer hitch off the frame of the car and was huddled against the side door!
