Awww, you're making me jealous! I still can't get Sawyer to bring it back to me unless we're at Smkie's house and he's competing with Victor.

The retrieve looks good. How old is your pup? And how long have you been working at it? Please don't tell me months and months bc I need some inspiration ;)

She's 5 months old and we've been seriously working it on and off for a wee or two. We've done puppy tosses and some prey stuff, tonight was the first night I asked her to take it on her own (which she did, yay!), hold it (which she did yay!) and bring it back to me (which she did yay!)... very good! It will make shaping all the formal parts of the retrieve much easier - this was mostly puppy stuff for her. My biggest thing is making the dumbbell a great toy my dogs love to see - when I was playing with her - Rah was having his own little fit in the other room that there was a db out and he didn't get to play with it. As a matter of fact, I intro'd gloves tonight to Rah and he kept going over asking to do another retrieve because he liked them so much.

We don't get to take much in the ring with us, I want my dogs to view what little I can take in the ring as fun. I also enjoy teaching motivational retrieves. I may change my mind later on, everyone tells me that a motivational retrieve won't stand up, we shall see...
