I keep reading posts from people just raving about Kong toys and how much your dogs love them. My dog (a 8 month old Chi mix) does not like hers at all. I have put everything imaginable in there. Peanut Butter, the Kong stuff they sell in the pet store (both in the can and the biscut treats), cream cheese, her favorite treats . . . and the most she'll do is gnaw off the end of a treat that is sticking out of the large hole. I don't get it, am I doing something wrong? I would like her to have it because she's at home for a couple of hours while we're at work (I come home at lunch) and that would give her something to keep occupied. Any help??

Don't worry...mine isn't into chewing man made things either. If I loosely put kibble in his he'll bat them around to get the kibble out, but chew on them? You gotta be freakin' kiddin'! They smell like an old tire and taste about like one too.

Now where did we stash that greasy lamb bone?

Yeah Stoli is a kong hater too...which perturbs me...

Kong: $10.00+
Kong Stuff'n: $5.00+
Kong Treats: $5.00+

Now it is just a gooy paperweight....oh well...lol

She will chew the crap outta some walls though!

Don't worry about it. My own dog doesn't like his kong... not interested, only takes a few swipes of the food in them and then leaves it to rot. I gave up on his liking that kind of toy after about 2 months of trying with him. It didn't matter the food combo he wasn't interested. When I'm gone, even if the dog has free roam of my apartment, all he does is sleep. He doesn't chew on his toys, or eat his food, he just sleeps in either his crate or on the couch. Your own dog may be much the same way...

She definitely sleeps a lot, but she's having some problems with her teeth, her baby teeth aren't falling out and her adult teeth are coming in . . . and so I am trying to get her to chew more to help loosen those teeth up some!

If you can get her to chew it ONLY in the kitchen or on wood floors then try giving her some raw bones... you can get them from your butcher's or supermarket (although you may have to ask for them)... i've used soup bones in the past. But even though Mojo doesn't like Kongs, he loves raw bones.. .and that will keep him happily chewing for a while. Problem is he can't have them anymore because he doesn't like the kitchen, and we have carpet throughout my apartment (they bleed a little). :(

The bones will help to safely loosen those puppy teeth. Good luck
