Help! Vet reccomended Interceptor

I always started my pups on heartworm meds before they went home. Your breeder should have done that. When EliN adopted Yogi at about a year , he was HW negative.. and yet a year later ( on meds) he was positive ! Seems that he was newly affected the first time and they didn't show up. Luckily he was treated and was fine.

I spoke with the new vet and she confirmed that it is safe since the heartworms, if Kooper does have em, wouldn't be mature, so no harm done. Starting him on interceptor flavor tabs!
