I'm not a vet but I'm guessing it could be allergies. Has he had contact with anything unusual?

Do you have emergency vet clinic...go there ASAP! We have them here in Ga. Had to take odo to one when he ripped his side open. Cost a bit more but worth it.

Don't mean to scare you but.
allergic reaction are dangerous..Can cause Anafalactic shock !!!

It sounds like you need a new vet! If I called my vet with a problem like that he'd have me in there immediately - no matter how booked up he was!

It does sound like a severe allergic reaction to something. Find a vet who will see you on an emergency call.

I would go to the emergency vet, and forget about your regular vet. If he isn't willing to take a dog with symptoms like that, who knows what he'd do when symptoms where even MORE severe?

My stepson's dog just got the same thing a few days ago. The vet said he must have an allergic reaction to maybe a spider or bee sting. The puppy has been put on Benedryl. After getting the proper dosage for 2 days, the bumps are almost all gone.

Please let us know how he is doing.

Wow!

WOW! I would defintly look on 411.com for a emergency vet or in your local phone book and go right away. I would also give him or her a tiny bit of benadryl the vet says to give them a tiny bit of benadryl for allergies. We gave one of are dogs benadryl befor for allergies and it worked great!
Good luck hope he or she is ok.

My sister's Jack Russell has allergies and he has the EXACt symptoms you described. You really need a vet who will take this seriously. My sister has injectable Benedryl on hand and has to give it to Skip when he has these severe reactions. They can not figure out what he is allergic to but they suspect it may be some sort of toad or lizard, because Skip is always hunting them. Keep us posted!

Hello Everybody! Thank You For Your Replys. It Really Helped And Made Me Understand What Was Going On With My Puppy. And It Was An Alergic Reaction To Something. My Vet Gave Me This Medicine To Give Him And Now He Is Happy And Playful Like Before. Although I Changed Vets. I Didnt Know There Was A So Called Emergency Vet That You Can Go To Whenever You Need Them. My Didnt Tell Me About That And Thats What Makes Me Sooo Mad. But Im Just Happy That My Puppy Is Doing Fine.. And Thank You All For Helping Me Out. Thank You!!!

Phew...thats good to hear!! Did you ever figure out what your pup had the allergic reaction to?
Does he have to be on the medicine forever or is it just a right now kind of thing?

My New Vet Gave Me 3 Pills To Give To Him. So Thats All Of His Medication. He Needs To Take One Each Day And He Is All Finish With His Medication. The Vet Also Said That It Might Happen Again And That When I Got Worried But The Vet Said To Bring Him In After I Call And He Will Find Out What He Is Allergic To. Im Just Happy That He Is Playing With Me Again. This Is My First Puppy And I Never Thought Things Like That Would Happen.
