Yo I'm The Legacy, I just got a dog, a Boston Terrier 2.5 Months old, her name is Jett. I love her so much. She is starting to teeth (Bite). Thats the first promblem. The second is that she likes to jump on people, which isn't bad yet ,but if she does that when she's grown shes going to hurt someone.

Hi again.....since you're new here and a new owner with a lot of questions, I suggest you get the paper back " How you Can Raise a Puppy you can live With " by Rutherford and Neil. All your answers are there and an easy read. Check used through google.

Well, I'm going to try to answer your questions.

Nipping - When she bites your hand yell, "Ouch!" and then leave the room for about 10-30 seconds, depending. Then you can come back in and play with her. Try to get her to chew on a toy unstead of you (I know this is a different species here, but with my Ferret, I'd just carry around a toy so she wouldn't have a chance to bite me. It worked quite well ;) ) and every time she bites you, yell, "Ouch!" and leave the room, thus stopping all play. Since a puppy nips in play, and when she nips you stop playing, she should learn eventually that nipping stops you, not eggs you on. And don't play rough games near her face with your hands. That will only encourage biting.

Jumping - Don't ever let your puppy do something that you don't want her to do as an adult. This will frusterate you and your dog to know end. First, I'd teach her "sit". Then teach her that when she greats people, she must sit.
But for now, keep her on leash when she greats people. If she jumps, tell them to ignore her. When she realizes they aren't paying any attention to her, she should get down. When she does, praise her camly (this is so she doesn't get excited and jump again) and tell them that they can pet her. If she jumps, have them ignore her. I did this with my dog Rose (and her jumps hurt because she'd dig her claws into you) and she doesn't jump at all now. The key to this is to be consistent. Don't let her ever, ever jump on you. Even if you are in your crappy cloths and don't mind. If you give in every once in a while, she might think, "Hey, if I keep jumping, maybe they'll finally pet me!"
Anyways, I hoped that helped some.

Some people will try and teach their pup to never ever bite, and that biting is unacceptable. We all have different views on this. I enjoy wrestling and playfighting with my dog. She never bites me hard enough for me to feel pain, nor does she ever initiate this kind of rough housing with other people. Play fighting with your dog is useful in installing an on and off switch. I agree that you should squeel and ignore your dog if she bites and hurts you. If her bites are inhibited and really just mouthing, this isn't a problem. You are in fact teaching her all about bite inhibition and having a soft mouth.
I agree with the above on jumping.

I make my puppy sit before I will pet her, or let other people pet her. If she goes to get up while someone is petting her I stop (or make who is petting her stop) and make her sit agian. Now if she wants to be petted she will sit by herself, she usually won't stay sitting for long but she'll sit for a few seconds.
