Ack! I was up for hours last night with my oldest daughter while she was sick, kept her home from school today only to hear "I'm boooorrrrrrreedddd" ALL FREAKING DAY :( She fought with my daycare girl that was here this afternoon, and is generally really grumpy today. HOW MANY HOURS TILL BEDTIME?????? I need some sanity!!

And I'm hungry and Andrew is working late :(

Awwww Lorrie...I'm so sorry. It's so hard to have a sick child to take care of....it makes for a very tired Mom. I remember those days...my son is 15 now so he takes pretty good care of himself. When Andrew gets home, take a nice hot bubble bath with some candles and soft music. Be good to yourself. :)

I have the magic box on right now (otherwise known as the tv LOL) and the girls aren't fighting at the moment. But sheesh!

I think that I need to relax tonight--this week has been really stressful with cranky daycare kids!

Yup, the bubble bath is an excellent idea . . . your favorite CD, a great book, a bottle of wine chilling in ice next to the tub . . . and strict orders not to disturb you unless the house is burning down or the world comes to an end and you're missing the fireworks!

I know how hard that can be....kids are a bit squirrly at this time of the year with school starting and all of that. I did daycare for about a year when my son was little so that I could stay home with him. I was never so glad to get back to work...lol.

Just be good to yourself this weekend. Tell Andrew that you MUST have much pampering, so that you can recover to face next week.

ahhhhh......that sounds wonderful! Except for the part where there is knocking on the door and someone has to go potty LOL! Or the shouted questions..."mom? Can I have a snack?" ("there's a perfectly good parent out there with you--ask daddy!")........"mom? Where are the paper dolls?" (there's a perfectly good parent out there with you--ask daddy!")......."mom, A wants to play too, and I want to play alone, can you make her go away?" (THERE'S A PERFECTLY GOOD PARENT OUT THERE WITH YOU!!!! ASK DADDY!!!!")..............ahhhh, yes....relaxation LMAO :D

I'm working on my fourth year of home daycare. Usually its great, but right now I have one little boy who cries for most of the day and its wearing me out big time :(

I think dd was sooooo happy to be back in the school routine that she just about went nuts hanging out with me today :)

LOL Lorrie...that reminds me of when my daughter, Jaime was little and I would try to take a relaxing (yeah right) bath. I'd go into the bathroom (and remember, there was a perfectly good parent in the other room), and she would say "mommy...I want to take a bath with you". and I would say "no...this is mommy's special time". Pretty soon I would see her little fingers under the door and I would want to freak out!!!!! I'd say to my husband, "can't you entertain her for 30 minutes so that I can have just a little peace and quiet for once"? LOL You can imagine what his reply would be??

Maybe you will feel better if you eat something too. Order a pizza and make it easy tonight. Maybe the pizza guy will pick up a bottle of wine for you on the way? ;)

Or Andrew can pick it up..... ;)

did you try all those mean answers to Im bored that i do..like if your bored you must be feeling better so grab your shoes and i'll give you a ride back to school...or if your bored i have a quasizillion chores that will occupy your time and relieve your mind. :D ..Im just so mean....the tv does save ones sanity. ;) ..we did without it for four years...actually it broke and there was no money to replace it so i let the kids think i took it out for their "education" instead of letting them think they were poor..what was fun was when we got one and everything that was a rerun for everyone else was brand new for us. :) .by that time Aaron was in jr high and he was watching everything (and i mean EVERYTHING) at his dad's anyway...i will say for the four years i did enjoy seeing the front of their faces instead of the side when i spoke to them...but when they were sick it sucked..........i have read sooo many books out loud..Old Yeller is good..pipi longstocking with the short choppy sentences is a total drag..hope your baby recovers quickly!

Listening to all of your stories makes me very, very, very glad I decided not to have kids :D One man in the house makes it impossible enough to have any down time to myself. If there were kids

I would have to run away from home . . . with the dogs, of course ;)

I got three brothers. So its 6 of us plus the two dogs. And the 15 chooks and the bird. lol. You guys have made me want to have a nice warm bubble bath. The only problem is that we have two showers. No bath tub. :(. I miss those days where i could relax in the tub...
