Someone please reassure me she will be alright. I had her and Radar on the tie out and she somehow managed to nab a bird and eat almost half of it before I saw what was happening. I assume she killed it because there was a lot of blood and the area was clear before I tied them out.
I think I am just worried about nothing, I mean some of you guys feed raw birds and it doesn't seem to hurt your dogs. Those little bones won't hurt her will they? It was a fairly large crow type bird.

She'll probably be fine. The bones will be digested.

I would be worried about possible parasites.. but that's something that someone more knowledgable would have to answer...

Bella caught a full grown baby pigeon who was just learning to fly. She ate the entire thing except the feet. After finding the carcus (what was left) we called the vet and they said to keep an eye on her and if she started vomitting or having loose stool, or just acting out of the ordinary to bring her in. But she was fine, that was about 3 weeks ago. She loves those birds!

Buckshot has eaten lots of birds, never had a problem. Coyotes out here seem to get a fair amount of them too.

Ya, she'll be fine. ;) Hershey has eaten birds, and a baby bunny, and my puppy killed a baby bird. So, ya, your girl will be fine. ;)

Thank you for the replies, my vet told me the same thing. Shes going to go in in a few days to see if she needs worming. She lovingly "re-gifted" most of the bird on our living room carpet. Looks like she didn't even chew it. I figured I was just being a hysterical mommy, but you never know.

I wouldn't worry about it. Heck, my cat eats stuff all the time (rabbits, birds, squirrels...) and she's always perfectly fine afterwards.

Hey, consider it a free meal. :)

Just watch the stool for any abnormalities, not that I would expect any.

My last dane used to catch and eat squirrels by the mouthful.

My aussie caught and ate squirrels, birds, lizards, snakes (eww), moles, rats, etc.

Neither had any problems.
