Help Gibson Win Pet Idol!

Hi Everyone! I've been on here several times reading the posts but I just joined today because I need a bit of help with something. I've entered Gibson, our 3.5 year old Yellow Lab, into the Canadian Pet Idol contest in the Most Photogenic category. He's doing really well, since he's in second place. I need at least an extra 50 votes a day to win the contest and I've exhaused all of my contacts so I thought of all of you!

If you have 1 minute/day, please help me by voting for Gibson with as many email accounts as you have EVERYDAY until June 26th.

Um, if this kind of post was from a Chaz regular, it'd be one thing. But for a complete new member to the forum, this kind of post really seems inappropriate. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood right now, but I can't imagine how this is anything other than shameless spam.

Wow... I really didn't think it would be taken that way, and I'm very sorry if I've offended you. I'd be happy to remove it if you really think that it's spam. I've always poked around here to find answers for little issues I've had with Gibson, to read funny stories, and to see pictures of all of your beautiful dogs. You don't have to be a member here to read people's posts. It's funny how I feel like I know some of you, but you have no idea who I am because I've never posted anything and you've never heard of me. Let me know where you'd like for me to go from here!

if you don't want to do it by all means then don't. I think this is a great way to show a new member here how we are as a group of people and where are hearts are at when it comes to our dogs. I hope you win dear and I voted for you too.

As of right now, Gibson has 995 votes and the dog in first place has over 1400. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could get more votes for him? I'm wondering if the dog that's in first place is cheating... it just doesn't make sense the they're getting over 200 votes a day. Let me know if you have any ideas!!

they are prob doing the same thing you are doing, so unless you consider that cheating...I doubt they are.

Normally when people post things up like this, I will only vote if I think the person is deserving...since I didn't think it was worth voting for a dog like Kevin that only has 8 votes, and Gibson is very beautiful and very photogenic, I chose to vote for you

Update!

Hi All! Thankyou SO MUCH for your votes! It's so kind of you to help me out with this!

Here's an update! Gibson is still in second place and he's 300 votes behind the dog that's in first place. :yikes:

There are 7 days left for the contest, and I'm getting a bit nervous! The other dog is getting at least 300 votes per day and Gibson and I are struggling to catch up to them!

Remember that you can vote everyday with as many email accounts as you and your family have.

this is like the candy sale in a kids club. THe kid that has the parents that work in the biggest office get the prize.Since i was a work at home mom mine were screwed from the start. Come on Chazzers look at Gibson's eyes..lol what a doll lets help him win.

Something strange is going on...

Hi All! Gibson is in FIRST PLACE!! YAY!!! Thank you so much for voting!

The strange thing is that every night, at around 9PM, he starts to get a crazy number of votes. He got 250 in about 45 min. last night, and it just doesn't make sense - but I'm really happy it's happening!! Are any of you responsible for this? Let me know!!
