I have a 1 year old "half" staff. Her name is Kali and she is very sweet, sometimes really naughty. The reason I first used this forum is because she keeps destroying my things (in between them a laptop and my professional camera microphone)http://www.chazhound.com/forums/images/smilies/yikes.gif. It tends to be during separation after we spend days toguether, for example after hollydays toguether . she stays at home alone with no problem, but eventually she would destroy anything mine. She is very needy and she wants to play all the time tug of war.
I take her for walks (1 hour in the morning, a shorter one in the evening, at least) and I take her with me whenever I can, but unfortunatelly sometimes she has to stay at home alone.http://www.chazhound.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif
I just got her a treat ball and it has worked for the moment, it seems that it keeps her entertained better and she is learning to play on her own. I also ignore her for the first few minutes when I come home. She is getting better. http://www.chazhound.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I am not working at the moment, but I will start hopefully soon . I am not sure how many hours can a young dog be left alone http://www.chazhound.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif. I can ask friends to take care of her too while I am at work, but i would like she is not anxious to be left alone.
