I just came across this forum by following some google image links looking for dogs that resemble my own (trying to figure out his breed, although I probably never will.) People here have some awesome pets (lots of blue eyed pooches like my own, so I won't feel like we stand out too much ;D) I couldn't resist the temptation to join up :) I'll probably mostly lurk and boggle over people's pictures but hopefully over time I can ease myself into the community!

I have a 10 month old husky mix (the "mix" part being what I'm very curious about.) Commonly we go with aussie but his pattern and colors stump most people and guesses include smooth collie, border collie, heeler, catahoula, koolie etc. etc. Either way, his name is Haiku and he's a real character:

We're very happy to be here!

He is an awesome looking pooch! He looks like an interestingly marked red merle in that pictures, but I'd like to see some side-view shots of him if possible.

Welcome to the forum!

Oh hi. Funny enough your dog (the one in your sig, I'm assuming) is one of the pictures that led me here :) Love his color, not too typically-marked either! And what a sweet face.

He is an awesome looking pooch! He looks like an interestingly marked red merle in that pictures, but I'd like to see some side-view shots of him if possible.
He does have reddish/brownish/tan/beige and then more blue/gray merle right on his back. It's crazy! And hence the confusion.

As for pictures, well I have a limitless supply of those lol:

ETA: Hi bubbatd! You're in IN, too? Awesome! It'll be great meeting other "local" dog owners. You have goldens? My last dog was a GR, best breed ever :) We had to put him down in January at 12 years :( Such good dogs.

Really? How did you find Sawyer outside of Chaz?
Well not outside per se, but his picture came up under an aussie search I think (in like google images) with a link back to one of the threads on here :p So I looked around the forum, saw some other interesting dogs, and signed up!
