Hello and New

Hi!! I am the proud owner of three Chinese Cresteds Idol, Spike and Foxy and also foster one named Hopper. I work with a rescue Crest-Care and thought I would join a group with other breeds because I just love dogs in general. Here is Idol and Foxy.. Idol is the slate and white...and Foxy is pink and spotted.

Than last my current foster...Hopper

Hope to get to know some of you...there is a LOT on this forum...geesh.

They are ALL sooooo adorable! Foxy is stunning! I love Cresteds, but I heard they have alot of skin issues. Is this true? Right now I'm happy with my little Dixie, but a Crested is a definate possibillity for me in the future. Does your rescue have a website?

Your right some of have skin issues...depends on how responsibly they were bred a lot of times. The true hairless foster i have now has allergies so finding the right food for him was a pain, (that is why his owners gave him up, they just couldn't figure it out). Foxy has some blackheads but thats it...and if I was really really concerned about them they could be gone. Spike and Idol have no skin issues whatsoever. They have great skin... so it varies. This foster is the worst i have had to deal with fortunately. All of them you do have to bathe once a week or once every other or so but its not hard...its wiping them down with a wash clothe or whatever.

Oh and I love Yorkies as well but havn't really ever met one!! My groomer was boarding two puppies that were 2 of the cutest things I had ever seen...soooooo tiny!!! LOL
