Seems like a very spoiled dog! Heidi and Taffy
Heidi snoozing in the sun by the gate February 23rd then in the sun by the TV,Taffy sleeping on the couch, a favorite thing for her to do,Heidi at the big couch then the small one after Taffy to play,Taffy wasn't biting,she likes to snooze,Heidi snoozing in the bed in front of the TV February 24th,Taffy snoozing on the big couch , Heidi waiting to get out of the cage this morning and on her walk.Heidi greeted mom this morning after being out,then got down and rested while I ate cereal,then she got up in my chair to sit with me and look outside,she ended up seeing the same two girls she had seen yesterday,only this time her tail didn't wag.We then had a play of fetch with the Monkey and the bone,She then looked at me and whining,wanted to go for a walk,she followed me to my room,she pooped there again today,not happy with her then went on the walk,she saw a Chocolate Lab being walked on the other side of the street,she stopped and looked then went on,she had a drink after getting home then down here with me where she played and napped,Heidi later had a snack of Milk bones,had her supper at 1:15,snoozed down here a lot,has played some more,has been up to see Mom,I think she wants her to come down here.She is currently snoozing under the stereo,I told her to go have a sleep and she did.It has been a good day for snoozing,rained most of the morning into the afternoon.
Awwwww to that first photo. Could they be better matched in size? They look perfect together. I am glad Heidi is doing so well her first year. Speaks well of her intelligence and character. My Victor is a people dog, and he has taken me on quite a journey that I never would have taken alone. Loads of good memories, and I have been able to see him learn how to recognize people that don't like dogs, he doesn't even give them a sideway glance as we walk by which puts them at ease, and he understands that some people like to talk to him, but not necessarily be leaned on, or touched. He will sit and visit with one man that calls him "Victorville" and they are like that. Sitting about 3 feet apart, lots of eye contact and big smiles. He didn't start out like that, but he was very sensitive to people's reaction, and my leash language and he learned quickly. I am glad Heidi is a social dog, for in my heart I believe they have the most fun in life. Happy First Birthday Heidi. May you have a bazillion more happy ones just like this one.
Heidi April 6th-8th
Heidi shaking herself ion a walkj on April 6th,reminded me of a picture i took of Fritz when he jumped up on the back of a chair and his ears stood straight up,Heidi on a walk Saturday and on Sunday,two dogs barked at her on Sunday,she listens and looks then goes on,she doesn't bark back,when she she sees people,she wants to meet them,When she meets the school crossing guard,she rolls over and wants a belly rub.In the morning before her walk,she she sits with me,chews on a red bone,then will get down and stare me out them I go and get ready.She is now 19 months old,will be 20 months old next Tuesday and today we have had her 18 months,quite a doggy,very intelligent,she asks for her supper same time every day which is 2 o'clock,to go out, when down here will come out between the small couch and the wall and look at me to go out,she is under the chair right now,I will then get up and go sit on the couch,she will follow and sit beside,right up against the arm of the couch.
Heidi May 11th-13th
Heidi on her walk on May 11th,met the school crossing guard and got a belly rub,on her walk Saturday morning,there were people at a yard sale and she wanted to greet them all,I didn't want her jumping on anyone and scratching them,further along on Hobbs Drive,Heidi wanted to see a man an d a lady,she greeted them,they have a 14 year old Cocker Spaniel,he was inside,he is blind,before this they had a Shih Tzu and it passed away from Cancer at the same age,almost home we met a neighbor from up the street who was walking his Bichon and Poodle,they all got along,Heidi in the chair looking outside on Sunday morning then over with Mom in her chair.
Heidi May 14th-16th
Heidi on her walk Monday,met teh crossing guard and got a belly rub,then on Orchardview Boulevard saw the Black Lab/Collie and Shih Tzu,they were on the other side of the street,next two pictures from yesterday's walk,she met her Black Pug friend and gave it a kiss then met the crossing guard and got belly rubs,took her home and I had to clean weeds form our patio and north side of the house,at one point Heidi was out sitting on the back step,later on she had a nap on the back step,last night,she was out again and she came down the stairs growling and had a blitz around the rec room,had a snooze under chair then cuddled with me later on.Heidi on her walk this morning down Simpson Avenue,met the crossing guard again and got belly rubs,this morning before going she sat with me in the chair and looked out and saw a lady going to work and her tail was going then saw a lady walking two Poodles,she growled and wagged her tail at the same time.
Heidi Scooting
Heidi on a walk May 31st,she had stopped to shake herself,I found out on Monday of last week I had won a Samsung Smart camera with WI-Fi capability,I had sent this picture in,was sent a form to fill out,faxed it and will get the camera in about 3 weeks from now.Two pictures of Heidi form her walk yesterday,we were near the house where Buddy the German Shepherd lives,he must have smelled her,he was barking and was still barking as we walked by his house.We were almost home when Heidi saw Mom's friend Doreen and her daughter Cathy who was visiting form Kanata,Ontario ,near Ottawa,Heidi got some belly rubs then we went home ,she stayed up with us for a few minutes before going to church,we stopped and got flowers on the way home and took them to the cemetery to in front of Dad's stone for Father's Day,still miss him a lot.Heidi had her supper around 2,had ours around 4 ,had Steak and potatoes.After supper.Mom saw a Newfoundland being walked,I picked up Heidi and when she saw it she started growling,sounded like a motorboat engine being started .took her time settling down last night and did eventually.We had a thunderstorm overnight,no walk today,it is hot and humid now and getting worse Tuesday through Thursday feeling like 100-111F so no walks and i will certainly not cut grass if it is that humid,Heidi now snoozing in a chair next to me.
