I am currently feeding California Natural chicken and rice. I have been pleased with the results, but am curious about Healthwise. I need to cut down on some costs and the Healthwise is better priced. Diamond Natural is also an option. As far as quality how would you rate the three? Does anyone have personal experience with Healthwise?

I have never fed Diamond, but have been happy with all the Natura products. I just don't know if switching from CN to Healthwise would be a big down grade. I have 60 pound 2 year old golden, pointer mix. Thanks!!

No personal experience.

In terms of ingredients however Diamond Naturals (depending on which one you get) isn't that bad.
It's got a few things that make it not great but it's not bad (Fish Meal just because it's generic for example).

Of the two healthwise is the better choice (also made by Natura Pet makers of Cal. Natural and Innova). Nothing questionable, good oils to maintain coat and so forth.
I don't know what prices are like but if they are about the same, go with Healthwise.

Fat sources are a bit different and placement is changed slightly. It is less expensive for a reason(sunflower oil is much more expensivethen chicken fat) but I doubt you'd actually see much difference in your dog if any. It's still a good food... although that opinions based solely on the ingredients and guaranteed analysis.

Mine love the Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice.

From what I remember at the pet store I went to, they have Healthwise which is made by Natura. The girl told me it's a cheaper formula that Natura makes for people who can't afford their other foods. I noticed you have to feed more Healthwise than other foods and the ingredients didn't impress me.

I think the Diamond Naturals is a better choice.

Our store has picked up Healthwise as a replacement for those who were feeding Canidae for budget reasons. It's been going well, by the feedback I've been getting, and I quite like the ingredients, compared to other foods in it's price range. Also, being made by Natura is a big plus for me - not being the hugest fan of Diamond.

I can't even find the Healthwise within 60 miles of me.

They sell Healthwise at the feed store back home. We tried it with Summer (miss picky eater) but she didn't seem to like it. I would pick it over Diamond as I have been so pleased with Natura products.

I think I will go ahead and try the healthwise!! I will probably add some veggies/meat too it as I always have extra. Thanks for the replies. I might try Diamond Naturals in the future also.
