My Bailey hardly drank at all and the vet said that he will only drink if and when he needs it.
He was on Canned food and i am now weaning him over to dried, he drinks alot more now.
What are you feeding your one?
Have you changed his diet recently?

The choking bothers me....are the stools dry and hard ??? I personally don't like canned food.... I feel the kibble is better for their teeth ( could this be the reason more small breeds have teeth problems?) but I do add water to the kibble.

Have you ever heard of K-9 Quenchers? We recently had an episode with one of our dogs being dehydrated and I was searching the internet and found this. It's like a sports drink for dogs that replaces all the electrolytes and other important things they need to prevent dehydration. It comes in three flavors (chicken, hot dog, ice cream). I got them and the dogs really seem to like them. Maybe it would help if you put some of these flavors in the water. Then, not only would he want to drink it, but it would help to prevent dehydration as well. Just a thought...

When I first got my puppy she didnt want to drink either, we got a product similar to what LaRe is talking about, but it came in fruit flavors. We added some to her water and the flavor made her want to drink the water.

She stopped be such a stubborn BRAT (I mean that in the most loving way...lol), so we stopped using them... and I dont remember the name, but if you go to the pet store I am sure they can help you find something similar.
