then hes so hungry at dinner time he eats it all.

is it ok for him to have 1 meal a day as he still is quite skinny???

He should probably get two meals... being a puppy still. Do you pick the food up in the mornings if he doesn't eat it in a set amount of time? Could you maybe try to sweeten up the food in the morning? Like throw in some water, or low fat cottage cheese, or some other small liquid treat?

Just some ideas.

any other added ingredients which is cheap.
at night we had mince or pasta to the meal and he loves that. its just the morning feed he dont eat

He might be looking for that extra special something that he gets at night. How about saving some of last night's left overs for the morning feedings as well? Pasta is good, or well i add in low fat cottage cheese, or canned pumpkin, or canned no salt green beans, or sardines to my own pooch's meal. Just little things to keep things all jazzed up and interesting.

He may also not like his food.. which could also be why he's reluctant to eat it in the morning, but will gobble it down when he's really hungry later. What do you feed him? It may also be why he's not filling out correctly...

Good Luck. :)

The only problem with the mo is if you keep adding tasty treats to it he'll have you under his thumb and he won't eat until he gets what he wants.

When do you feed him? Before a walk? After?

I'd leave off on the extras and just feed the kibble. Put it down in front of him and take it away after, say, 15 minutes. Do the same thing at night. He won't starve in a day or too if he doesn't eat so don't worry. Just keep at it. He'll get the idea.

Oh I forgot he was still a pup when I was writing that. Ask Mordy!
