... sat on a bed and it collapsed underneath you??

Well thats what happened last night when I *attempted* to go to bed. I had JUST gotten Maddie put to sleep and I sat down on my bed and *WUMP!*, mattress goes through the frame and Im left wedged between the mattress and the frame and saying a few choice words.

Im taking this as a hint that I need to lose some weight so Im going on a diet. Blech.

LOL, Dixie. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself.

We got a new bed about a year ago. My husband gave my son this huge long lecture about how he can't jump on the bed anymore because he would break the slats in the frame. So two weeks later, husband came running into the room and dived onto the bed. And broke one of the slats....Way to go!

Once . . . The boyfriend-at-the-time had an antique bed. We broke it, and one of the cement blocks he had bracing it . . . in an upstairs apartment  :D

You should've seen the looks we got from the downstairs neighbors later :p

ROFL.

I've never broken a bed. A friend of mine did cause my old one to cave in though, my little bed couldn't tolerate a 6'3, 200lb guy flinging himself onto it. The entire thing just fell apart... I really liked that bed, too.
He was one of those people that should have known better.

Yes I have.
I had come home from the ER at about 5am from breaking my arm. Had a nice big heavy cast on.
Slept till about 9am, woke up with my arm all sore, and me feeling sorry for myself. I go to sit up, and BOOM. I fall. Sore arm, now a sore back and I'm left bawling on a broken bed feeling utterly defeated.
I was 12.

Yes. And I've also leaned on a bridge/fence and rolled backward into a ravine when it broke TWICE.
