I hate to admit this and will probably be laughed at for asking but I know I've 'tested' my dogs food every time we buy a different brand (I use to search high and low for the best dog food!)...

has anyone ever ate a peice of their dogs kibble to 'test' it out?

Nope, I never have.

Brent tries a lot of the new treats out though. Like the cheesy treats or the fruity ones.

Not me :D I wouldn't know what would constitute as a "good treat/food" anyways by tasting it LOL

Umm...no comment. I've "tested" Hannah's Evo when we first started buying it. She went NUTS over it so I wanted to know what the fuss was about. Frankly I don't know why she likes it so much it just tastes like dog food to me. Oh well to each their own I guess.

I know this is totally off topic, but I cant help staring at your sig all the time. Bailey is just the most handsome boy I have ever seen. He is gorgeous.

That is all.

Oh, and no, I havent tried my doggies kibble!

No, but I convinced my brother to when we were both younger, he said that the kibble didn't really taste too bad but it was also hard to bite through...lol...maybe his view would be different now, he was only 8 then.

I've tried dog biscuits while working at Petsmart. They reminded me of fiber cereal. Kind of like shredded wheat, plain, but a lot harder. :)

I've never tried the kibble, but I imagine it would taste a bit grainy and fibery.

yeah but the ingredients make it sound like it's good enough to eat though! I like all the stuff that's in my dog's food, I guess I just don't like it all mixed together :D!

those cookie ones are actually really good! We went there with my stepsons once and they ate them thinking they were actual cookies and then wanted me to buy THEM some! I didn't buy them those cookies, I bought them the real things from the grocery store.

I've tried:
Wellbars
Training treats (Oat flour, garlic, honey, sesame oil, olive oil)

The Wellbars are really dry and mostly tasteless. The training treats on the other hand are really good.

A friend of mine tried the training treats and a sweet potato chew. He said he could see himself sitting back and having some of the training treats with a beer, but the sweet potato chew was too dry. Haha.
