Harley will be 6 months on the 16th. So he will be getting fix soon. I don't know if that is why we are having so many problems. We are home most of the time with him. He's in his crate at night or maybe 2or 3 times a week for an hour or 2 when we are gone. He gets lots of attention. There are 4 to 5 of us here most of the time. He used to leave my shoes alone. We leave them by the door. Last week he chewed 2 of them. Then on Saturday night we went out for a couple of hours. When we got home we realized that he some got himself out of the crate. He's very smart. The crate is in my room & he's not allowed in my room unless in his crate (The door is closed any other time). He pooped all over the floor & chewed up another shoe. Before we went to bed we took him outside & he did his business. We put him in his crate & he started whining. I figured that he was just upset that he figured out how to get out & was upset that we put him back in. I don't know if this is possible with a dog or not but I think that we work himself up so much that he threw up. Yesterday he kept jumping up on the kitchen counters which he knows he not supposed to. Last night we went to bed everything was fine until 1:00 this morning then he started whining. So we took him outside & he did he bussiness. 99% of the time he can make it through the whole night without having to go. I woke up this morning & there was poop all over his crate. Is this issues that he's going to have before he fixed or is it something else?

Thanks

He does gets lot excercise. We have a lake across the street. We take him for a walk there on the week days. Then on weekends we take him to the dog park. I also roll the ball for him in the house. My mom works eight hours days & her dogs are in crates all day & they are a little more behaved then Harley is being right. I have to kids & watch a little girl & are playing him through out the day. Usually the only time he's not getting attention is when we are eating or nap time.

I think its just because he's still a puppy. Adrienne is 8 months and she still chews stuff up, has occasional accidents, and basically does stuff she's not supposed too. If she's chewing on something she's not supposed to be chewing on I say "NO" and swap it out with a chew toy or a chew treat. Around 1pm she's put in her crate for a puppy nap that lasts around an hour or 2. Her crate was in my room but I recently moved it to the sun room so she can still see us in her crate without being isolated to one room. I also leave the crate door open so she can go in and out when she wants. All of what you described sounds like normal puppy behavior. Maybe you can put Harley in a puppy obedience class??
