Harleigh's Park Day!!

Today we headed over to Dog Wood Park and had some fun (well for the most part! But I'll explain that later)

Just getting there. Harleigh meeting someone new, but Harleigh quickly turned into her enemy

After getting away from the psycho dog, we headed to the water, her favorite spot!

Playing and following Boo, her buddy. I just love Boo, he is the sweetest!

Here come the Jack Russell Terriers! Harleigh really like the little one, but Max the bigger one wasn't her BFF so to speak;-) (They quickly realized we had treats! lol)

I can't remember her name.. It starts with an L and I wanna say it was Lily, but I can't remember! She was so pretty though and hilarious!

Boo can still get around with those Russell's: Boo will be 16 in a few months and has a torn CCL, there is nothing they can do for him, but he still has a ball playing thats for sure. His owner said he think coming to this dog park is the only thing that keeps him going.

Okay.. About the psycho dog now!! She would not leave Harleigh alone... Kept tormenting her and was being quite aggressive, IMHO. Harleigh was pretty scared of her, had her tail between her legs and was obviously being submissive. The dog continued to aggravate her, so we walked over to the other side of the park (of course, the dang dog followed us half way there:tapfoot:) and finally got some peace from that crazy dog!!

The crazy dog then went off to torment the other 2 Labs that were there, but I think they actually corrected her unlike Harleigh... who just took it. Thankfully we didn't come back in contact with the other dog, but as we were leaving I'm pretty sure she started a fight. We were playing fetch in the "dry dog area" and heard a bunch of yelling, barking/yelping and growling. Where was this dogs owner why all this is going on? Sitting on a bench reading, not paying a bit of attention, even when his dog was all the way on the other side of the park tormenting dogs (the park is 14 acres).

Maybe I'm a bit overprotective, but I go wherever Harleigh is at and make sure I've always got my eye on her... just in case she decides to annoy someone:

All in all she had a happy day and is now snoozing! lol

Looks like you had a good day over all! That last photo is great -- she looks so happy. Too bad about the idiot and his dog, but at least you were able to get Harleigh away from the dog before anything really bad happened. I hate people like that.
