handstripping spaniels

Hi can anybody tell me if you can handstrip spaniels as they havent wire coats??? If so can you give me any advice and tips on how the best ways of going about it. Thanks!!:)

I'm so not a groomer.. But my next cocker I want to dabble in the show ring, and I do know that you hand strip the line down the top of their backs. But that's the limit of my stripping knowledge ;)

wear rubber gloves! I strip to about the middle of the rib cage and all of the rear legs on the outside, I still have problems making the shoulder area look neat though...

If you are going to hand strip a spaniel you have to do it from the off alot of Cockers are hand stripped not so much springers. It is not so comfortable for the dogs. As a groomer I always Clip Spaniels but if he is going in the ring as a show dog then if he is a cocker should be hand stripped, but I would ask a groomer to show you how, it should be done with a stripping knife but please do not hand strip the ears!!!!!!.............They MUST be clipped!!
