after high school my girlfriend did that henna stuff with my hair.I climbed alot back then, mountain, ice , and rock so I got a lot of sun and I had 14 inch mohawk. My hair was fire engine red! Its a good thing I played in a punk/funk band and work didnt care as long as I showwed up and worked. Work at that time learned to look in my rig to see if I slept in the parking lot.

You have to choose the color of the henna you use. I'll bet you looked . . . well . . . I'd guess you really stood out. Blue with the Red Mohawk.

Sounds like a story title to me!

The products you used on your mohawk along with the sun probably had a part in the color you turned as well . . . :D

I wish I did, I was also 80lbs lighter back then at the same hight. I know that particular ex GF has a bunch of pics of me from that time, I just cant find her. The mom lady has some buried away somewhere I can try to dig up next time Im there and scan them. The people Ild realy like to track down are the ones with video of some of the gigs I played.

Thank you so much, every so much, for the blonde joke response! Generally I just tell another blonde joke to get them to back off. (It's like a play bow to blonde joke tellers) But, now! I have the best joke! Thanks! It can be tailored to anyone, "So Brunette's can remember them, so men can remember them, so redheads can remember them..." lol!

Gold. I suppose that would describe it! My natural color is medium light brown giving my skin a lovely shade I would describe as "Hungover". So I have this crazy highlight thing happening. There are many shandes running through, including my natural color. I have it done every 6 weeks. He is putting in more light blonde lately. My husband loves it!

God Bless my Nanna's genes that I got (my grandmother, Bubbatd's mother). She never colored her hair and was more brunette than gray when she passed at 93 years old! I'm 41 and have never colored and my hair is very dark brown/black with red highlights naturally. I'll never forget Nanna's stories of when she first went into the "institution". That's what she called her retirement center, but she chose it and it was quite exclusive... don't feel sorry for her! She just had a sense of humor. But ANYWAY, all the "inmates", as she called them would go to the beauty parlor and ask for the same coloring as Mrs. Jennkins had (a.k.a. Nanna). The funny thing is she never colored!

Oh, don't get me wrong... the gray is coming on fast and furiously. Don't know how long the "plucking" of them is going to work. They're on a role!

Oh, you're not gonna like this EliN ~ I was reading an article somewhere that said there is now evidence that the old wives' tale about two gray hairs growing in for every one you pluck is true!

We are currently on the chapter in anatomy that deals with skin/hair. Our instructor told us that, "no, it is not true that if you pluck one two will grow back, there is only one hair follicle, you do not grow new follicles, one hair to one follicle". I sure hope she is right!

My hair is finally back to it's natural color of burnette. I hadn't colored it in about four years and was able to cut off 13 inches and donate it to Locks of Love. I used to love to dye it though, graduated with purple hair, partied with black, loved to have fun as a blonde. Thank GOD there are so many options out there for your hair!

My Grandma's hair used to be the color mine is, the older she gets, it just keeps getting blonder. So did her brother's, so hopefully I won't have to worry about grays. EliNHunter, my husband must be related to ya'll, his whole family gets gray really early. He's just turned 30 this year and his goatee is almost all gray and a bunch in the hair too! He's thinking of coloring his beard, I wish he'd just shave it off and maybe color his hair, He would look so much younger.
