I'm so sorry...but she had a good, long life with people who truly loved and cared about her. Cared about her enough to release her from the pain she was in...

It's so hard watching them grow old, isn't it? It seems like oe day they're the young pup with boundless energy, and the next day you're helping them up the stairs...it goes so fast...

verderben, Chelsea was gorgeous. She has that look of a dog that helped raise kids, that patient "fine put a christmas bow around my neck and i'll love you for it" look.
SHe was gorgeous and even from those photo's you can tell how much she must have cared about you.

RIP Chelsea.

I'm so sorry. There really are no words for the hole that is left behind. I can tell from the pictures that she was a full member of your family. I'm so glad you had each other. Run free, sweet Chelsea!

awww.... such sweet pics of chelsea. Making the decision to put an animal down is never an easy one. Imagine... she lived 16 years and she looked like a fairly good sized dog. I think that's unusual to have a larger dog live that long. It just goes to show she was loved and well taken care of. RIP chelsea... run free over the rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry. She was a beautiful girl, and she had a good long life. It sounds like you did the right thing. At 16, throwing up blood doesn't sound like something to easily recover from.

I not too long ago had to put down my first ever dog. And you've got me bawling now. I'm so sorry that you've lost her and understand the pains and hurts of having ot make this decision to end her life. But now she's at the rainbow bridge. :)

I'm sure you gave her a wonderful life, and she was one beautiful girl. RIP old girl. You were dearly loved.
