Well, I know I don't know many of you here on Chaz but I had one of those moments that you have to share with others. One of those moments that makes everything you go through worth it, as some of you may know my fiance and I are home to two very spoiled poochies. A little Chi mix named Boo, and Zul a Chihuahua. Well, Boo has been with us the longest and most recently we adopted a little monster named Zul. He has some minor issues with growling, he is possessives and sometimes seems to hate the entire world. The only dog he actually gets along with is Boo, which is one of the reasons we did go ahead and decide to give him a chance.

Well, even with her he is kind of rude and growly but never hateful. Well today, as my fiance and I were getting ready to leave on our dinner date I hear barking from the bedroom. I walk in to see he is actually PLAYING with Boo, like full out tail wagging playful bowing and barking as they run about playing what appears to be puppy tag. Not so much as even a growl, or a scowl crossed his face - and then to top it ALL off, they were curled up on the couch together with his face on her tookus. I am SO thrilled, we fell in love with his people-loving personality and really was praying he worked out over all with Boo.

To see the two of them bounding about like madhounds, and just enjoying each others company made my fiance and I super happy! I really just wanted to share because it made my night.

Aww, isn't it lovely when they decide they do actually like each other?
It really is! We had talked with the shelter and had a thirty day agreement, in case his personality took a dramatic change at home with her for the worse. We were dreading that, and really hoped it wouldn't and he'd get to call us his "final destination!" The funniest part is, he really doesn't get along with other dogs AT ALL. We're slowly working on socialization but his previous owner kept him locked away in a house, and did nothing with him and then one day just decided "You know what, I'm tired of having a dog," and brought it to the shelter.

The fact he gets along with Boo at all is amazing, but we think he knows that if he wants to have a forever home that one of the requirements is getting along with her. The fact they're becoming friends is just a plus, Boo is a lover in general though! I don't think she has a mean bone in her body, she loves all animals. She tries to snuggle with the cat all the time! They play too. But I love their individual personalities, so even if he is an old grumpy face he's still OUR old grumpy face.
