So . . . when do you think you'll be able to fall asleep again? ;)

Gotta love Terriers, lol! But, they wouldn't be Terriers without that scrappiness and that just wouldn't be right.

Yeah the dog poo on the pillow would be my best guess. If it is poo on the pillow you have some serious training to do.

Glad all is well, such a scary experience. :(
I still went to bed right after.....working 14 hour days and getting 4-6 hours sleep it wasn't too difficult :)

And before anyone asks...separating fighting terriers, the choking is about the quickest, humanest way we've found to work effectively. As some of you know, I'm a big guy, and I cannot pull these dogs apart, nor would I, it creates a lot more damage. (Instead of holes, you now have tearing to deal with.)

Basically you grasp the neck hard enough to get them to gasp for ai, when they do they have to open their mouths. Be aware though, if you let go right away, they will often bite/grab again, so it is necessary to start putting distance between them.

If you are by yourself, or are a small person, another trick is to have water in the bathtub and stick them in it, again, the idea isn't to drown them, merely get them to gasp for air long enough to get them separated. I know of a single (as in lives alone) JRT person in the states that keeps water in the tub at all times for this reason alone.

We've been fortunate that most of the fights here over time both of us have been around, and my hands are large enough I can handle both dogs at once, which lets Kerri deal with any others trying to get in on it (and they do!!) There are certain combinations that we know won't get along, unfortunately once in a while something will happen that lets these things happen.

Snip, you guys need a Fila to keep order, lol! You'd be amazed at the impact it has on the feistiest Terrier to realize her entire head is inside a mouth :rofl1:

And the sheer frustration when she finds out that there is no place she can grab the Fila that the Fila can't grab her. :D

Not a nice way to wake up.

My sister and I built a fort in the loungroom once and slept in it for like a week. All the dogs were sleeping in their with us and Buster and Mac are pretty defensive of our beds, on about the 4th morning I woke up to Sophie and Buster standing over the top of me starting to arc up at each other. Glad I woke up when I did.
