Hello, I actually joined last summer but then lost the link to this place and only recently found it again. I am a married mother of 2 1/3 kids(the third child is due in December) We have two dogs, they are brother and sister Pekingnese. We are trying to rescue a third dog who looks to be a border collie or aussie shepherd mix of some kind, and have and Australian Shepherd pup that we are getting,it should be born around the end of September. We also have 8 cats(all spayed and nuetered) 4 rabbits, two ducks, and around 15 chickens. We also have Cornet Guinea pigs, I rasied them for a while but I am looking for homes for my last few breeding pairs. Up until a month ago we raised a tiny herd of Nubian dairy goats(they have such good milk) but had to sell them when the town(we live just inside the city limits of this stupid blink and you miss it town)passed new ordinances and forced everybody to get rid of any livestock animals except poultry. Alot of people just straight up moved, which is what we are trying to do. I homeschool my kids and we raise two large veggie gardens every year as well as have a few flower beds we enjoy working in.

I had found this place and posted last summer when I lost my Great Pyr pup after he ingested iris roots. He is the pup you see in my avatar.

Anyway, thought I would introduce myself and say hi.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope we will know something about the rescue dog tomorrow. Today makes the 5th day that nobody else has been out there. If not for us,she would have died of thirst by now, especially in very warm weather we've been having.

Thanks again! My biggest question about rescue would be, why does it have to be illegal to shoot the people we have to rescue them from? Sorry, I'm just a little on the snippy side about it right now. A friend on a horse forum is trying to adopt a horse who was recently rescued after being dragged behind a vehicle by her halter, which the person dragging her, had fashioned out of barbed wire. The poor horses face is a mess not to mention everything else from being dragged. And the guy who did it,only spent a couple of weeks in jail and thats it. They won't even release his name, they don't want an angry mob at his door step. I sat he doesn't deserve that kind of protection. I will see if I can get some pics up of the critters. Is there a particular area to put pics?

you can put pics in the general chat section or if it's other pets (not dogs) they can go in the cats&other pets section but no one will mind if they go in the general chat section also. I know what you mean about killing the people who do this to them. I wish we could. The fact that they plan these ways to torture with the most possible pain and do these things just for the sake of it I mean it's sick, they're psychos.

Thanks, I will try to get some up after a bit. Right now I gotta go down give the dog breakfast(we are calling her Molly) and make sure she has water. Shock of shocks, someone was actually there sometime yeasterday afternoon. Of course since it was near the end of the fifth day since the proper people had been out,I bet they wondered how she was still alive. They sprayed out her run,all of the poo is now on the ground right next to her run,but at least she doesn't have to lay in it now.

Okay I posted pics in general chat. I just put them all together. Some of them are from last year,so I need to get some new ones and I need to get some more pics on my computer. But there are a few there anyway.
