Recently, 6 dogs were diagnosed with parvo at my local pound. They were contained to prevent spreading, so everything was fine. Then, some IDIOT took those 6 dogs out and put them with the rest of the dogs. EVERY SINGLE dog at the shelter was put to sleep because of that idiot. It was so sad, especially since I was volunteering at the shelter a few days before it happened. I got quite attached to a few of the dogs. Luckily, 15 of them got adopted the day I volunteered, and more were probably adopted between then and the parvo outbreak, but it was still sad. There were so many dogs there =(. I don't know if it's open to adoption yet, but they still have cats there, so they should. They won't be taking dogs for awhile, because they're having to burn all the beds and blankets and scrub the place down. It was really disturbing. Just thought I should share that.
