It is heartbreaking. I used to have a rescue greyhound too. She was 4 when we got her. And one of the best dogs I've ever had!!

A friend of mine rescued a Greyhound. SHe was a beautiful girl, always had a lot of feet problems though due to her racing past, but she was a doll!

The dead dogs are Spanish Galgos, not ex-racing hounds. Spanish galgos, along with many other hunting dogs in Spain, are abandoned, hanged, shot, or dumped into wells by their owners at the end of the hunting season.

Not a single one of those dead dogs is an ex-racing dog. I'm not sure about the starved one, but I think it's a galgo from Scooby as well.

We have a lot of rescued greyhounds in FL...There is a dogtrack about 20 min. away. It's so sad

It makes you just wanna go and shoot anyone that breeds/sells/abandons them.
