Does any of your dogs eat grass? Today when I was in our pool i saw my dog eating grass. I tried to stop him but couldn't get it out of his mouth. :(

Don't worry! There's nothing wrong with a dog eating grass. Most dogs do it, some more than others. We used to call my old golden retriever "the cow" because she'd just munch the grass like crazy when she went out in the yard.

I've heard so many reasons why they eat it too. Not enough fiber in the diet, smells good, tastes good...I really don't know anymore.
What I do know is that Tira will go on "grass eating escapades" every so often. It ends up coming out of one end or the other by the end of the week though. YUK!

lol I was always told that a dog eats grass because he wants to throw something in his tummy up.

Honestly I dont know why they do it.

Riot has never really had the urge to eat grass, neither does Crosbie and Jada.

Gem ... my Goldens have always been cows too !! Once in a while it was for an upset tummy... but Chip will graze on his " special " grasses.... he knows which one he likes ... no throw ups !
