grass?

MY dog Jazz, mini Aussie, constantly eats grass! when were playing fetch (Sunny plays fetch Jazz just runs and chases her) she stops and grabs bites along the way and I swear she's a cow!! Do you know why she's always eating gras? its annoying and I worry she's ill or something! She used to eat stool in the yard as well but Ive started Greenbeans on her and so far she's stopped that... Thanx for your help!!

I've called most of my dogs cows. I've read that sometimes it's a deficiency and other times they just like to eat it. One of my dogs eats it and never throws up. The others eat it and it comes up soon. Some say dogs will eat the grass when they have an upset stomach and it's there way of helping themselves.

I don't believe it's a problem but I'm sure others will have some input for you.

You are right barb, sometimes its medical and some just like it, I would get a vet opinion, and if nothing is medicly wrong, eat away lol

Some dogs just like to do that. My great dane was like that too, he'd rip out mouthfuls of grass and chew it up, eating most of it. It mainly seemed to happen when he was in a playful mood and romping around. He somewhat grew out of it as he got older.

It can happen due to the dog missing something in the diet, but that's really rare and she'd also be eating more than just grass.
