So pissed...My dad just fed Peanut a few grapes. I told him that it was poisonous(sp?) for dogs and he says"the worst that could happen is diarreah." Ugh, my hate of ignorance just grows deeper. Advice anyone?

Few grapes are not going to hurt a dog :)

If she ate a whole grape triangle, then there might be a problem. My pup ate a few grapes in his day and didnt even have diarreah.

Thanks for the reply. Don't you have a C.O though? What about the size difference?

It is irratating though that your dad did that, after you told him. Some people just refuse to listen to anything new.

The girls have eaten grapes before and they're fine, but if fed regularly and in large amounts it can really hurt them.

If it makes you feel any better, I was feeding Sawyer some green grapes and yogurt covered raisins as treats before I found out how bad they are for dogs. His system didn't even flinch, so I'll be Peanuts to dollars he'll be fine. Just don't let your dad around grapes and Peanut at the same time. ;)

My first thought was what Filarotten said. Just print out a copy of the article on grapes and give it to him, that way it's not you telling him something. Then, if he's testy about it or still tries to feed her grapes or raisins you can tell him you guess he's purposely trying to kill your dog . . .

Or maybe you'd better ignore that last part, lol! That's definitely something I would do - and the kind of thing I did when I was your age (and still do on occasion), but I was always willing to take the slap in the face for it ;)

Printing out the article and giving it to him might work. That's the only thing that will work with my boyfriend's mom. She doesn't believe a thing I say, but if she sees it in print it tends to sink in a little more.

Well, the printer is down, but I'll tinker with it and see what I can do. As for the "slap in the face"; ha, I'd take a bullet for my midget.lol
