Goopy eyes – help please!

Hi guys,

I’m looking for tips about how to help my dogs eyes be less goopy/runny.

He eats grain free TOTW and his coat, poop etc all is healthy. However, his eye are always runny with a “clearish†fluid and white/clear mucus builds up in the corners of his eyes. He also seems to be itching at them.

What can I do to get the goop to stop forming.

Please help!? Thank you!!

Could be allergy related. Since I've switch to California Natural, a lot of allergies have disappeared.

My guess is allergies, too. Environmental are more common than food allergies, though it could be either.

I'd talk to your vet; if the eyes seems to bother your dog, you could try Benedryl to see if that helps. (My guy gets it twice a day right now -- spring is tough!)

What breed is your dog?

I've heard people swear that fish oil suppliments will clear this up. Never had this problem myself, but fish oil's good for a lot of things so it couldn't hurt.

Thanks for the replies!
He is a Springer Spaniel.
I have heard from others too about the fish oil. I think I'll give that a try (for him and me!).
Thank you!
