hello some of you may remember i bought a german shepherd puppy who is now about 4 months old ...he eats fine goes toilet you know every thing seems ok with him except one thing ...he is going grey first it started off with a small patch but as he has got older and bigger the more grey is coming through he has got about 3 large(ish) areas on his side does anyone know what this could be? do you think i should take him to the vets? or am i just being paranoid lol

He's probably a black and silver German Shepherd. There are several colors that go with the German Shepherd.
I think you may have a black and silver. I think there's pure black, black and silver, black and tan, blue and liver (something to that sort), and white.

If there's no abnormal smell or signs of itching or discomfort I wouldn't worry too much. Their coat color does change.
One thing your vet might appreciate is if you bring him in for some "get acquainted" visits to get him used to going and being handled and let him get the idea that going to the vet's office is a good thing. Call your vet and ask him. Mine was thrilled. The girls go in, have a little "meet-n-greet" with everyone, go back to the scales to get weighed, have a few treats and everyone's happy. You shouldn't be charged for those little social visits, either.
