I was in the international food store the other day (<3 that store) and I noticed they had goat meat for sale for a fairly decent price. I was wondering if anybody knows if goat bones are ok for dogs? I know that cow bones can be hard on the teeth because of their density and I don't give them. Daisy eats pork bones no problem. So, can dogs eat goat bones? Oh and I just discovered this website: Carnivore Den - Homepage they sell raw for dogs. It looks pretty cool!

Yep, we have fed goat before. We just ordered a goat from a farm, and they slaughtered it for us. I split it with my friend who also feeds raw. She has shelties. She gave my dogs the bigger bones though.

It's what area of the body the bone came from, not necessarily the type of animal. It's just that the most common cow bones tend to be pieces of the femur, which, since it's a weight-bearing bone, will be much more dense and harder on teeth. Same thing with chicken quarters; WB-bone, not super great for teeth.

If you get the neck, tails, back, maybe even ribs(?) of anything, they should be ok.
