...he also does all the repairs on his car himself (I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being an engineer your whole life?).
:yikes:

I swear they, engineers, all belong to some special club.

Do you know if he kept log books too and tracked mileage and things like mine does? Or perhaps, when the car was sold or passed on, did he use those logs to determine the cost of the car over it's lifespan? If you tell me he drives a Honda I am going to get really freaked out. :rofl1:

no he doesn't keep logs... he keeps it all in his head!... and he drives a ford escort wagon(he likes to keep all of his tools handy!).

And he likes to talk to you about things like factoral geometry :yikes:...
he was telling me last week how he wishes he was still working, "bc they have all kinds of cool new techology that would be fun to play with."

I think they do all belong to some kind of special club!

I just think that it's cool to see so many people voting!.At least,it shows that people care!.
What I don't agree with,is making kids do fake votes to see what parents will vote!.
My daughter who is in 6th grade, was asked to write a paper on who she would vote!.The paper was cancelled the day before it was due!.

I don't think it's wrong to "make" kids do mock elections. I think it's good for them to think about this stuff at an early age, and to know how important it is. I did mock elections all through elementary and high school. I doubt it's to see who the parents are going to vote for. Why would that matter to the school anyway? I almost always disagreed with my parents anyway :D

It was especially cool in my high school government class. We had a mock primary between Alan Keyes, George W., and McCain. (A different class that year did the democratic primary). Anyway, we chose students to represent the candidates, and they did debates, and at the end of the term, we had an election through the whole school. I learned a lot about elections that year.

You know what would be great....

If we could time travel. I would time travel to tomorrow :D
Here's more bad news . . . It ain't gonna be over tomorrow. After tomorrow, the bickering over voter fraud, uncounted votes, miscounted votes, electoral college votes, ad nauseum, ad infinitum begins . . .

Stock up on booze and DVDs, it's gonna be a long, long night . . . maybe four years long . . .

The only time I've done one of those was in kindergarten. I can't even remember who was running (199...6?), but I had NEVER heard of them before, so I just closed my eyes and picked one lol.

I just want the political commercials to end. Really.

at least I won't find anymore flyers on my front door.

It was funny today... I don't answer the door when I am home alone if I don't know who is at the door. anywho... the door bell rings and Beezer barks and the other lady coming up the driveway to meet her friend kind of jumped... then I saw they had stupid political flyers. So I opened the baby gate and let beezer charge down the steps barking his head off. the ladies couldn't see him but they could hear him and they got off my porch real fast after that LOL.
