Hahaha, aww, you are so sweet. But they ARE big LOL. It's not really a bad thing, just a statement of fact. XD They started getting big when I started running, and cycling only made them all the more muscular, and they just keep going. If I flex my legs, like if I stand on my tiptoes, it's like BAM CALF MUSCLES!! I think it's kinda gross hahaha - but I don't care, I'm not going to stop working out and getting stronger. That's just how they are. They're big and thick and they power me through half-marathons. I couldn't do the things I enjoy doing if they weren't! But it does make certain things not very easy... like skinny jeans. It's like prison for my calf muscles. I had to enlist help to get them off the one time I tried skinny jeans, because they got stuck on my calf muscles, and then I started to panic hahaha. I was like OH GOD, THEY WON'T COME OFF, HELP ME HELP ME.
This has happened to me before. I went to this trendy little hipster store a few years ago before being a hipster became super cool, and tried on a pair of purple skinny jeans with these awesome gold spatters. Kind of like these, except a better color combo.

I imagine Lorde wearing these every time she sings "royals." She would probably fit in them.

Anyway, I was like, "give me an 8!" and they did not look my size. At all. Everyone insisted they were skinny jeans and that was totally normal. Um, okay. I got them up to my knees. I barely managed to yank them off, there was no way they were an 8. A double zero, maybe. An 8? HELL NO.

My friends then brought me a 10. I tried those on. NOPE, same thing. We eventually got up to a 14, and I got those up to my hips, which weren't even as large as they are now. By the end of this disaster, I was flailing in the dressing room and had to have two of my guy friends come help me. One of them thought that sitting on the bench in the dressing room and crying with laughter was helping.

At some point we got them off without a knife, and I lived to tell the tale. But let this be a lesson - buy skinny jeans that look like they are the right size for you. Don't even look at the sizing, because I'm pretty sure they're sized by deranged elves.

To be fair, this is what I did... after we finally peeled them off my legs and I was sitting on the bench breathing hard and sweating because I had pretty much just had a panic attack that I couldn't get my legs out of the leg prison, and then it occurred to me I just had a fight for my life WITH SKINNY JEANS. And that was hysterical, so I started laughing. Which was even more amusing so it just escalated.

But I have never tried on skinny jeans again.
NEVER AGAIN.

I was all game to do it, too. I mean I used to think skinny jeans just shouldn't be a thing if you were a double-digit jean size. Like there's some kind of misnomer in "skinny jeans" when you're a 14. So then I was like okay, I think I'm actually allowed to wear skinny jeans now...

:rofl1: It's not worth your life to try it again. . .

BTW- love the pictures of the blonde hair! It looks amazing. Zoom also says so.

I don't wear skinny jeans either, because my legs angle in at the knee and turn out at the ankle, and it looks weird. I always wear boot cut. What's popular isn't always the best choice for every body type ... mine included.

Maybe TMI but MY BOOBS ARE SO ITCHY.

Oh my god. What is this.

I have a metal allergy, like to belt buckles and jeans buttons and stuff, I get an itchy scaly rash on my stomach if I wear them. I'm wondering if my bra underwires are causing me to mildly react.

*revives the thread*

Anyone know if you can go into a walk in clinic and have a birth control prescribed, even if you're already on one that your family doctor put you on a year ago? I am having issues with my pill and want off of it (possibly to an IUD or the needle) but getting to my family doctor is hard because of travel (distance and vehicle).

Yup. I walked into Planned Parenthood and after a short exam (pee in a cup), got prescribed another BC method after my family doctor had me on one I didn't like. Left with my new pills same day

Alrighty, thank you. I don't think we have a planned parenthood around here, it's just a general walk in clinic, but I am going to call them just to be sure, then I'll be going in tomorrow. Just not sure if they'll be able to give me what I want, since I want on the needle or an IUD, no more pills for me (I can never remember to take them!) so we will have to see. If I have to wait to see my family doctor I'll just have to deal with the pill a little longer. Been on it a year now, dealing so I can manage another month or two.

Does anyone use a diaphragm?

Pretty much all hormonal BC is out the window for me. I don't like using condoms, and never considered a diaphragm before because it seemed inconvenient, but now we pretty much only have sex at bedtime in bed, so I think it could work. (I'd track ovulation and use a backup method during that time).

What is it about condoms you don't like? I use them every time and swear by them and they IMO are much more convenient then a diaphragm
I have a whole list of reasons, a few of which may be rather graphic for chazhound. But:

1. My daughter seems to wake up every time a drawer opens
Or she hears some kind of wrapper (yet she sleeps through us having sex, go figure). I can put a diaphragm in at bedtime and not worry about that.

2. We often spontaneously do it in the basement media room. Running up two flights of stairs to get a condom isn't really convienent.

3. We often interrupt intercourse to do other things and taking condoms on and off is really annoying

4. My bf doesn't like the way they feel and frankly neither do I.

5. A diaphragm is way more cost efficient.

6. We enjoy a lot of positions where he fully supports my weight and if the condom starts to slip off that's a big problem

OIC lol.

I tried a diaphragm and it just didn't work for me but I do like rubbers because there is no cleanup (for me anyway lol) afterward, I am the one who gets to just roll over and go to sleep. And since we are living at the race track right now where I have to run clear down to the other end of the barn to use the restroom or "clean up" (sorry if that's TMI lol).

Plus I am super super paranoid about using it wrong and condoms we bit know how to use them right and for us the little bit of trouble of slipping one on right quick beats me coming up preggers any day. A lot lf times we make it part of uh ... The "warm up" xD.

I want to do ombre on my tips, but my hair dresser says it is really harsh on your ends and that she might have to chop off lots of length depending how much it dries out my ends. *cries*

I really wanted to do something to my hair that would just grow out and that I would not have to do touch up on my roots. I actually like my natural hair color. I just want to so something fun.-Any ideas??

You can get vegan dye that isn't as hard on your hair? It doesn't last as long, but still...

Maybe chalk your hair? That won't last very long at all (just until it's washed/brushed out) but it would be fun to play with for a while!

I can't find it but I think it's been mentioned on here before... what's a natural or OTC remedy for UTI? I'm not sure I have one. A few weeks ago I had some minor pain while peeing so I bought a bottle of cranberry extract and started taking it. The very next day the pain went away. I kept taking the cranberry for another week and then just got out of the habit. Yesterday it's started to hurt again. I feel like it was something else, not just cranberry, but this thread is soooo many pages I don't know if I can find the answer again - anybody?
It's entirely possible I do have one, though, and my immune system was weakened trying to fight it off, and that's how I ended up with bronchitis... so I'm starting to might... but still not sure. It's really not very painful. My mom has had a few and they are apparently SUPER painful for her so... I'm just not sure. And since it's NOT really painful I can't be convinced to go spend money at the doctor yet. =P I don't mind taking something OTC or herbal just in case though. As of this morning I'm taking the cranberry again.

It will. Any kind of dye will hurt your hair. Some people have more resilient hair than others, though.
