Today I was walking along the river with Gus as usual, Gus always rushes off ahead and I follow! Why I walk him I don't know because i'm sure he'd be just as happy on his own!
Well Gus came rushing back with something in his mouth, I said to him "Whatcha got Gus?" so he pushed this THING into my hand. I was a little shocked so it didn't register what it was until I started to be able to smell it! It was a Putrid, old FISH HEAD!! I of course dropped it the second I realised what it was, and retched!! :( Gus was alittle offended I think because he had found this Fish head and brought it back for me!

Bless him he wanted to give his mummy something nice! :D

Oh, sounds like something the cats do when they leave a dead mouse in front of our bedroom door!

If he's looking to get his mum something nice, give him my email address and I'll offer up some suggestions before next time :D

we had a neighborhood cat that would do that to me...just me I think. He'd catch sweet little field mice, lop off their heads then bring the poor headless creatures to me by the tail and lay it ever so gently at my feet. If I wasn't around it would be on my doorstep. EEW. Good for Gus though, he probably thought "hey, mum gives me treats off her plate and this looks soooo yummy I should share with her!" :D

Sometimes I'm just as glad mine eat their treasures (kills). . . They're actually good about not eating just anything they find laying around. Good thing there wasn't a hook still in it!

LOL. What a prize!

Yes....a hook is a bad thing. My sister lives on the water and her miniature poodle came inside with this line hanging out of her mouth which my sister began to pull. When it didn't come out, she took her to the vets. The dog had surgery to remove the hook...scary.

When I told my mum about the fish head she said "oh that's nothing!" When she was 7 1/2 months preganant with me she was having a mid afternoon nap on the bed and our cat Dudley came in through the bedroom window. Now Dudley used to make this howling noise when she had caught something and my dad heard her howling upstairs and rushed up just in time to find Dudley leaving a huge dead Rat on my mum chest!!! Good job my dad got there before mum woke up because otherwise I would have been even more premature then I was!! :D
