So I was walking my pup on the usual route we take everyday.

A great day, he's behaving surprisingly good, met few people we know, everything great!

About halfway through the walk, I see a bunch of teens (16-18) year old playing with skateboards about 300m in front of us. So I take a turn into a different road to avoid them. Everything seems fine, we keep walking and start to return toward our house. At this point we are standing near road crossing on an open field smelling grass. At this point these 4 teens run crossing the road, I think, oh well, they'll just slow down and go around us ( as we were on grass about 10m from sidewalk). Guess what they did?

They charged right through the grass right through us, running at us directly screaming something... My pup was watching them since they appeared on horizon, at this point he jumps up in the air tail up, ears up, chest out... ready to attack. I yell to those morons to stop and go around us... no reaction. At this point my guy goes on his rear legs and starts barking full force, this they notice and stop in their tracks... I put my pup into sit and yell at them to get the F away from us and go around us...

They go around us smirking and making barking sounds... We continue on our route back home like nothing happened.

Ugh, brainless teenagers, sad thing is I cant even slap them around because of stupid laws in US.

Cliffs:

A bunch of punks charge us full speed, pup puts them in their place, everything is good.

Someday at least one of those kids will probably be up for a Darwin Award

It's people like that who cause my first reaction to a story about a dog "attack" to question what the alleged victim did to cause it . . .

Ugh. I watch out for people like that...they think it's funny to annoy a dog (especially if it's big), and then later on, when they're lying in a hospital bed after being attacked (for a good reason), they play innocent.

I wish I could say well that's how I was when I was a teen, but I didn't do stuff like that because my parents actually showed discipline and I knew what the consequences would be when I got home.

Well, he's 2 and a half :) I just call him a pup :) We try our best to stay away from people because 90% of them are very unpredicatable, we only come close to people we have met before.

You have no idea how much I wanted to get my hands on those morons :(

i think i understand too. I have had my fair share of morons too... although my "favorites" are those people who just allow their random dog run up to mine without asking first... and then get upset with me when i tell them no (for whatever reason - like I'm busy, or not now, or he's trying to eat etc) and they yell at me for not socializing my dog. *rolls eyes*

Drives me nuts when lose dogs are allowed by distant owners to run up to/hassle Bonnie when she's being walked on lead. Often I'll shout out 'can you call your dog back' but get retorts like 'he only wants to play...' (after other dog has crossed a road etc to reach us  ) There's a Spaniel on a route we sometimes walk who squeezes under a gate and runs across a road as we pass and woofs/follows at a distance for 2-300 yards.... then returns... poor thing walks with a limp :( I've never seen the owners

There are a bunch of teens in my neighborhood who think it is funny to bark at my dog, and I also find adults in public who think it is funny.
They dont understand that I am training my puppy and it is hard to teach her not to bark or growl at people when they are barking at her.

last night I was walking my dog on MY property on a leash, and two loose pugs came running down to us and distracted my puppy from her business. The owner thought it was funny and kept on his walk while his pugs hung around near my dog, he never moved them.... I eventually had to pick up my dog and just go inside.

There really are some dumb people out there!!!!!!!

they are no better around small children or young children. I wish they would just think about what they are saying or doing. My son was getting something to eat after scouts when he walked into a hardee's in full uniform. Up until that day he had been very proud of being a scout. A group of no goods that hung out there (instead of working) burst out laughing at the sight of him, mocking his uniform and calling him names. It didn't matter that i told him they were no goods, and that of course they mocked what they themselves could not be, after that he wouldnt' be caught dead in public in full dress.Alwasy brought a spare shirt in the car. Good thing your pup was brave! can you imagine if it had been off leash and bit someone? they would be the first ones to call the law too and then brag about it.

Loose dogs LOL I've had dogs start running towards me while I'm walking my dog-aggressive dog, and they're owners yelling, "Don't worry, he's friendly!" and failing to notice that my dog is rather agitated. And when I tell them she's dog aggressive and might bite their dog, they finally grab their dog, but then stare at me like I'M in the wrong.

...Wtf? You and your dog couldn't defend yourselves if they kept coming at you? They obviously wanted to harrass you, that is ridiculous if the law would be on their side in the instance that you (or your dog) would defend yourself. Ugh. :(
Along with being stupid and infuriating, people like that give others the impression that everyone under 18 is a "brainless" teen.

This is united states, law is always on their side, unless they actually shoot me or something.

It is so irritating. We know we have protective breeds and we do everything to protect them and everyone around them. Then you have idiots that taunt them or let their dogs run loose and try start a fight with them. Then we and our dogs have to take it, because ours will be the one's pts. So very wrong.
