I figure someone on here might know this!

We have a climbing vine thing in the front yard. No idea what it is. When we moved in there was a 3 foot high support thing for it. It's now overgrown it big time.

Now, I'd like to make a home made one that's taller. Is it better to do that now in the fall, or in the spring? I know if I wait till spring it'll get forgotten, so going to make it now, but do I replace now or leave it till spring? No clue here but it is growing like crazy! Need to encourage the plants that aren't hard to kill.

Go ahead and make it and have it ready to set up. When the plant dies back this winter you can replace the trellis without damaging it as much.

Or just set it up right behind the old one and remove the old one this winter.
