Where we live, we have about an acre and a half of fenced in yard, and the fenced in area extends about 500 feet down our driveway where there's a gate. Last summer, I was out doing fence repairs in a far pasture, and I left the 3 Min Pins and the Rottie out in the yard while I was working. When it came time to come in, Athena, Maya, and Thor were all right there, waiting to go in and eat, but no Apollo. I called him for a few minutes, and finally saw him strutting up the driveway (Min Pins always strut, but this was REALLLY strutting...) He was dragging something as large as himself, and when he finally got to me I saw it was a big old gopher. The look in Apollo's eyes was sheer pride, but that quickly changed when I took the dead gopher away from him and threw it in a garbage can. You could almost see tears welling up in the poor guy's eyes, as if how dare I take something away from him that he worked so hard on. When my wife got home from wherever she was, he ran right to her as if he was hurt and needed comfort. After that, for about two days, he wouldn't sit with me on the sofa, wouldn't sleep on my side of the bed, basically, he was mad, and wanted to prove it.

a person might have had to be here to appriciate, but mary managed to get up on a chair next to me (a hard backed folding chair) while i was painting. I didn't see her do it, but when i looked up from the piece i was working on (holding it in my lap) there she was looking right at me. SHe flashed me a big ol grin. She just did things like this, little quiet jokes that she found funny.

Victor was at the guild and i hadn't gotten his bed out yet for him. He hates to lay or sit on concrete and he was tired. He had rested his head on top of Ellen's dog that is quite heavy and likes the concrete. Daisy was alseep and there STOOD VIctor with his head on her back, napping too with his eyes closed. It really was funny.

I attribute that in a great part to positive method training and narry a harsh word escapes my lips. LOL. He just trusts me and enjoys learning and working with me. QOUTE]
truer words were never spoken:hail: :hail: :hail: exactly..Victor was trained exactly the same way as has been all my dogs...especially Bronki and Mary i had from the get go. It is a bond of trust. That was just so well said i had to say something.

My Rusty rides in the backseat and likes to hang out the window, you know to have the wind blow through his hair. He puts his one leg half out the window and half in, it's kind like he's trying to look real cool. We call it his "Picking up Chicks" pose.
