I don't know why, but Journey has been absolutely nuts since I got back from vacation lol. So in addition to another walk we already took today, I decided to take her to the little field across the street for some snowy, uphill fetch to try and tucker her out a little bit more. She had lots of fun and is now much more relaxed, although still wandering around nose poking me and the other three dogs. She's been recovering from a cough for the past 3 and a half weeks though so I think all of her rest and relaxation has just caught up with her and she's feeling better so just wants to run and play non-stop now. Silly girl.

More!

This ended a little rough for me haha. When she gets over excited she thinks of herself as a bowling ball and me as the pins.

Still some more!

And an honorary Dance photo! I tried getting some of the Dobermans too, but the house is too dark for them. I'll have to make a point of taking them out for a photo day soon.

That's all!

Journey is SUCH a pretty dog.

Side note: if I look closely enough, I can tell Journey and Merlin are related, but I'd never peg them as littermates! Maybe it's the coat?

I love Journey. <3 I am of course, a sucker for a pretty dark tri. :D

I know Toller trims Journey much more than Merlin, especially in the face/ear area? Merlin has superfloof. <3 I find that their faces are very similar in structure!

Thanks, everyone!!

Thanks! Technically we're not supposed to play there I don't think lol. But nobody is ever there and it's super convenient and great for tiring her out because it's all uphill.

Haha, and yes, she is mostly her dad I think. Although I feel like her body is more Hustle's... but I'm no expert lol. And her extreme bum wiggles are definitely her mother's. As is her extreme love for people!

Such pretty girls! I love how blue the sky is, too.
That's one thing I love about here. Even in the winter, while we do have our dreary sky days, we get a lot of sun and blue skies. Which is deceiving sometimes when it's freezing cold outside haha. But it's nice.

Journey is SUCH a pretty dog.

I know coat colour throws me off when I compare her to any of her relatives that are not also black tri or bi. But I think Journey has a more narrow face than Merlin and smaller/differently shaped ears too. Plus, the fact that he screams boy and Journ is very feminine. I see more obvious resemblance when I compare to two of her sisters (the third I can see resemblance, but not as easily - she looks quite different from the rest of the litter) and her black tri brother, but often when I see pictures of Merlin there are still many that remind me a lot of Journey. Just not as obvious always. But they do have similar facial expressions and mannerisms. And even if it is sometimes hard to peg them as littermates just in pictures, it sounds like their personalities are quite similar.

If we didn't live super far away, it'd be fun to get them together in person I think! Actually, I'd like to see all of her siblings in person one day somehow. I love doggy family reunions.

Awesome photos! (See you take great action photos!) and Journey is just gorgeous as always.
Thanks! Haha, I actually took these in an attempt to get pictures as awesome as yours. But even in this set, some of my favourites that I still posted, her face is not in focus. That happens to me all the time. I'll get an otherwise great action shot, but the part I wanted in focus is just not quite there, eventhough to me it looks like it should be in the viewfinder.

I think the only difference is that I tidy Journey's ears some and Merlin gets none haha. I really don't do much to Journ. Just thin out the excess fluff on her ears so they shape her face better. The only other parts that get any minor tidying are her feet and her tail.

This happens to me too, a lot. I have to massively compensate with my focus point to EVER get anything in focus. It's a lot of trial and error!

Your photography is so gorgeous that it's unfair. I am SO jealous of your incredible snow and action shots - Journey is absolutely beautiful (in structure and aesthetics) and every day with her seems like so much fun. Amazing girl, amazing photos!

I love them both so much. Ugh. Can't even handle it. Merlin is such a handsome floofy-cute boy and Journey really is a pretty dancer girl.
