Oh goodness! How funny! That happens here, except it's usually kayakers that come 'roung the bend... Ronin likes to paddle over and say HI! (I try to discourage it, as sometimes it must seen as if Kujo is coming over for a midday meal!)

This river is the Broad river, near Elberton GA. When you start talking about out in the sticks, this is where you are talking about. I mean out there. LOL

It is near my dad's ancestral home. We go every year for a family reunion. This year was the 107th one.

It can be like you see here, from ankle to nearly waist deep in some areas, or when there has been lots of rain, it can be quite deep and swift. Usually on lazy hot July summer days, it's like you see it. Perfect to put out your lawn chair, and sit for a spell, and watch the dogs and kids splash about.
