Front door pee

Well i've taken the advice that i've been given and i've set my alarm for 4:00 every morning. So basically he goes every 2 hours during the day, and every 4 hours during the night. Wether it's during the day, or during the night, luca has a bad habit of "marking" the door mat. And u tell him to stop, he stops, but then he moves to where he thinks u can't see him and continues. He empties his entire bladder on the carpet. I've cleaned it with vinegar and odor removers but nothings working, i can't even begin to tell you the ammount of times i've yelled at the pee... it's not working
he own't pee anywhere else in the house
Just the front door carpet. Any suggestions? have any of you dealt with this before?

You might try changing the door mat for starters.

Can you shove him out the door immediately? Going with him, of course, to make sure he doesn't take off. Just keep his leash looped over the door so you can grab it and put it on him as soon as you get him out the door. Then, when he's finished his business outside, you can praise him and even give him a treat as soon as you come back inside.

Purdue, my first GSD, went through a spell when he was about four months old where he would stand in the hallway in front of a full length mirror and watch himself pee. It made me crazy! After about a week of me scolding him he quit. It was funny - but it wasn't!

^LOL, Well i just let him out about 5 minutes ago before i came on to check the posts and he empties what HAD to have been his entire bladder all over the front hallway and then some more on the front hallway mat. And even if i try and pick him up to carry him outside, he pees all over me, it's a real lose lose situation. and i would try to shove him out the door immediately, but by the time i get one or both doors open, he's already unloaded lol.
