Hello

My name is Lina, I'm from Denmark, and I currently have a 3 year old mix between a pekingese and a papillon.

Other than the mutt, I spend a lot of time on my computer.. goofing off in photoshop, making websites for friends, and 'stuff'.
I also breed and show guineapigs.

Welcome!

I had a lot of guinea pigs growing up (they were all shelter rescues, so all different types and personalities!) They're fun little critters.

Hi and welcome!

I've only had one piggie, named Enzo, but he was cool. Annoying little bugger at 2am, but cute.

Welcome from another guinea pig fanatic! :D

I have two sows and a boar (the sows live together, the boar has his own bachelor pad ;) ). What kind of guinea pigs do you breed? I own two Abyssinian mixes, I love their crazy hair. The other sow is a smooth coated mix.

Mostly longhairs.. that is if the stoopid things would get pregnant, sighing.
My favorites are texel and merino, but I get an occasional sheltie or coronet here and there. My pets should have funny hair, in various lenght and colors. My piggies are multiculturel as well.. I have/had from US, Canada, UK, Sweden and Norway.

I'll be posting some one of these days.
Right now I am a wee bit under the weather, and I am supposed to get up at 5.50 the next 3 days to go to bookkeeping classes... and on friday I leave for a guineapig show.

I love texels! They look like little teddy bears. :D Sadly I've never met one of those. All we have around here are pet shop mixes of abyssinian, crested and smooth types. I had a long haired guinea pig at one point, but I kept him trimmed short, he was a messy boy. Those longhaireds are high maintenance.

I look forward to when you are able to post some pics of them.

Yeah.. but if you want the good stuff, you really need to go find a breeder.
I've had some lovely ones from Nikki Matthews in UK, and I had a boar whos father was from Galateas stud in US - I would seriously love one from them.
Mine are a mix from breeders, a couple from petstores and a couple from the local shelter. I took home a castrate a while back from the shelter, a lovely big boy, and he became a danish pet champ.. he aaaaalmost made it to superchamp. The latest is an adult sow.. apparantly from an elderly lady where things got out of hand, and the animals weren't seperated from eachother.... so she's pregnant, getting bigger by the minute. Technically, the shelter don't let the preggies move, but since they know us, and know we aren't newbies, they let me take her - she's just absolutely lovely.

I do have pics on my website for now.. and a few galleries with assorted pics. I posted the link somewhere in a link-category.
