Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and thought I'd take a second to introduce myself (I don't like to use the word "owner" - so I'm going with "friend" of Rhodesian Ridgeback). I've had dogs my entire life. Right now, it's just me and my 3 year old (ridgeless) Rhodesian Ridgeback, Tambo.

He's a great dog...I couldn't have asked for a better companion. He's perfect in almost every way imaginable.

We live in an apartment right now, but once I can move into a house with a backyard, I'd like to find Tambo a companion from the local shelter (where I've been volunteering for almost 2 years).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Here is a fairly recent picture of Tambo out hiking...our favourite hobby!

Thanks for the welcome! He is pretty good lookin' isn't he? A crying shame that his "ridgeless type" aren't seen as being 'quite up to snuff' though!

Hello, i'm new here too.
I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback as well (Mix with a little boxer). He is my life and my best bud. He is only 10 months right now.

when i first got my RR i was very concerned about making sure he had a ridge. It was very "cool" but after having him for two years and realizing that he is such an amazing dog and it has nothing to do with his ridge i would take a ridgeless one any day. Such great dogs. welcome
