Since we're moving out of our awesome place, I took Kaia down to the pasture for a romp and pictures. It was bittersweet without Charlie. This was also her first time off leash with the cattle. She did great!

She's catching maple seeds. They twirl like bugs, and she's disappointed every time it's not edible.

Trying to keep the mud off her feet.

Believe it or not, it actually worked and she landed on dry ground.

Don't know why, but I really like this one.

Then some huggy time.

God, I really really REALLY like Borzois, a lot. Kaia is gorgeous and that picture that you said you liked is just so perfect and really seemed to capture a moment

But, nothing beats this picture :rofl1:

You have both a stunning dog and a stunning daughter

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww <3

One of our clients at the clinic is considering a borzoi. Apparently there was a kennel and the owner died and they rescued a crap ton of them and they need homes. This person has had collies and collie mixes for 40 years. She was SOOOO close to getting a collie pup a couple weeks ago (free pup in the newspaper) but was too slow. My boss told her borzois are about the same height as one of her current collie mixes (who is slightly taller than a border collie, shorter than Logan). I was like WHAT? Are you out of your MIND? They're TALL.

Oooh! I heard about that rescue thing, they're desperate for foster homes last I heard.

A lot of the females are really on the smaller side. Kaia is huge for a girl, she's gotten bigger than Strider. I've seen female zois who are Logan height, lighter weight than him. Maybe she can foster? :) Strider is 30 inches at the shoulder and hovers around 69-70 lbs, but he's got a more refined build.

She's still considering fostering or adopting. Her biggest concern is her cats and her one beagle mix. The beagle mix doesn't like any new dogs, and she's worried the new dog will chase the cats. She's the same person who rescued Gavroche off the street and brought him into the clinic before I knew I could have him. The beagle mix didn't care much for Gavroche either, and still doesn't.

There's a vet around here that also breeds borzois, and I think she's helping out with all those dogs. She's the one who first told us about them. I can't remember her name right now :p

She is an absolutely gorgeous dog, and I love that shot that you said you love, too. The ones or Aurelia and Kaia are really cute, too.

I had a dream about necklaces with borzoi pendants on them, but they were made of chocolate. I wanted to buy one but it was $9 and I was like "...I'll never want to eat it because it's so cute...and then it will melt...nah".

Clearly I don't take enough LSD before bed.

Rofl milo.

Thank you so much everybody. Kaia is so much Aurelia's dog. She calls her "my little baby Kaia". They're both so vibrant and happy all the time. And they get into trouble together a lot too. :rofl1:

I hope we can move back here some day, or a place like here. Depending where Robert gets a job, we might even be able to buy the land out. If not, I'm sure there's another perfect bit of land to pick up somewhere. We're going to miss the water a lot.
