Yeah. Somebody wasn't thinking when they made up this mixed breed's name. Its a mix between a French Bulldog and Dachshund.

Can I just say, too, that I HATE when people call dachshunds "weiner dogs," ESPECIALLY so-called "breeders." It seems to me to be extremely disrespectful to the breed. But that's just me, I guess.

OMG, Lizzy, THANK YOU!! It is a HUUGE pet peeve of mine when people call my dogs "Wiener/Weeny dogs"..Its extremely annoying. And I also cannot stand when people misspell dachshund. Its one thing if you don't have a dachshund...but when people who own dachshunds misspell their own breed's name!

Yeah..I hate people who breed mutts.

Same thing with chihuahuas - people who own them can't even spell them. And the you get the "it's a Taco Bell dog!" or "Yo quiero taco bell". Now I just pretend like I don't hear people when they say that, it's so irritating, and they always seem so smug, like they're so original.

LOL. The spelling people come up with for Dachshund's and Chihuahua's is really..amazing. Bugs me so much, and I don't even own either- I think it would make it that much more annoying!

When I was a young and neurotic, I used to email people and correct them when they misspelled Dalmatian.

lol! When I raised chinchillas people used to call me once in a while to see if I had any "taco bell dogs".
