Like everything in life, there is sadness as well as happiness. The vast majority of the book is not sad. Someone that has read the book, chime in, we need an opinion here that is not biased.

All that I can tell you is that he was a happy part of my life. Don't be sad, death is a part of life. Just be glad that you are here with your critters and that you have the opportunity to enjoy each other. Each day is a gift; don't waste it.

When you start your life, your soul is just a dull looking stone. As your life progresses and you start accumulating experiences, your soul starts to take a sheen; the stone starts to acquire facets with each experience. Pretty soon you have a gem, with many facets as your soul. It is up to you to turn what was given to you into a valuable finished gem. Few gems are flawless; but all gems have some value. All life has value but no one life has more value than another.
