I have a "tiger" pit mix. I was told that she is full blooded APBT, but she doesn't look it at all. I believe that she is a mix. She is great with other animals, but you must introduce her first on a leash, b/c she gets excited. She and my APBT are best friends, so I would like to give her to someone in my area, but if no one in the area wants her, I will give her to anyone who will provide her with a good home and take great care of her. She is about 8-10 months old. She is a tan brindle. Her ears and tail are still intact. I rescued her from being put down because of her breed, and now I must find a home for her. We live in the Altamonte Springs/Apopka area in Florida. She is free to a good home. From what I understand, she is all up-to-date on her shots, but I am not able to get any of this is document...so it is not a guarntee. The only downfall is that she will jump a standard size chain-link fence. Which is why I now have her. Please pm, message, etc me if you are interested.

I wouldn't offer her up for free. That's generally a bad idea...
Definately bad idea. Its a shame to say but people value more what they paid for. You never know who will take her and they could use her for testing and a whole bunch of other bad stuff. If someone can't pay $100 for a dog then they obviosly cannot support it and cannot supply the dog with basic necessities.

You live in Altamonte.........DONT GIVE HER UP FOR FREE! All those med people are swarming the area for free puppies and animals for the experiments-TRUST ME! It has been happening for years.

Question, maybe i missed it but I tried to find it, you rescued her from being put down, she has started to adapt, now you are giving her away as well???Poor dog.

But dont for free, like said above, charge and donate..........whatever.

Do you have any pics?? I live in Fla too, and can try to help.

I agree all who stated don't get her away for free. Too many people do bad things with dogs that are for free. They turn into research lab animals, breeding specimens, and (being a pit bull mix) used for dog fighting. You don't want that to happen to her do you? I'm sure you don't. Ask atleast a hundred dollars for her, but you really should ask more. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about asking a price for her even if what appears to be a good family comes to you looking for a dog and can't afford the price. Believe me, if they can't afford acople hundred for the dog, they can't afford any dog. Dogs require money to keep them maintained not to mention one with no garentee on medical history. Just imagine if the dog suddenly got sick

To answer/reply to your comments/questions:

Harley, the dog, was impounded. She was going to be put down b/c of her breed and escape artist tactics. She was my friend's dog. That is why Harley and my pit bull Lexas are best friends. I didn't have any papers on her b/c she was given to my friend by a BYB. So I went down to the shelter and "bailed" her out. I couldn't keep her though, b/c I'm moving and I also cannot deal with her escape tactics. So I had to find her a home. I gave her to my brother-in-law, who had been wanting a dog. I explained to him all of her needs and the precautions to take when owning a pit bull, or pit bull mix.
She now has a happy home.
